BRUSSELS -- The Pan-European TV Network, Euronews, Wednesday said Iranian natural gas could one day be an alternative for Europe.

Euronews, reporting on the opening of a gas pipeline between Iran and Turkey, noted that Europe is heavily dependent on Russia for gas supplies.

It predicted that both Iran and Turkey could profit from the gas pipeline.
